Q1.You are probably aware of the importance of Rhetorical reading thus far. I would like to know how you would evaluate your use of rhetorical reading strategies and whether you will have any plans to improve your rhetorical skills and what are the plans?
most of the time i use rhetorical reading strategies however i dont use it all the time. it all depends on the type of writing it is and what the assingment that goes with it is; because not all situations call for the sames strategies. for example if the assingment is something like just doing a summary or a multiple choise test there is no reason for me to analys the text or to make conections because the assingment is not asking for that type of strategies. the plans i have for improving is just to use it alot more; practice makes perfect.
Q2.You are also expected to have a good understanding about Writer-Based Prose andReader-Based Prose and the difference between them lies in the use of RhetoricalStrategies. I would like to know how you would differentiate the use of rhetorical strategiesin writing (from reading as above) and what will be your plans to improve your rhetoricalstrategies in writing.
writer-base-prose, is more focus on the emotions, thoughts and experiences of the writer; rather than focus on making sure that the text is understandable to the reader. Now reader-base-prose is the complete opposite to writer-base-prose; in reader-base-prose the author of the text puts him/her self in the readers position and tries to make his writing as simple and as understandable as he can. He tries to utilize writing as efficiently as possible to get his point across as fast as possible. In this type of writing the author takes careful consideration in the structure of the easy, and the style of the text; because s/he wants to make sure s/he gets his/her point across. my strategies for improving my rhetorical writing skills are to put my self in the readers place and think more of what the reader wants to read rather than just write to write.
